The Milano is built on an aluminium frame coated with baked-on enamel paint that won't rust or peel. The acrylic canvas has an 8-to-10-year lifespan and will need to be cleaned and treated for waterproofing after 5 years.

 

The Milano should not be used during heavy rain or over the winter season. In winter, it remains installed but should be closed against the wall. If curtains have been added, they must be removed and stored for the season.
