The Brasilia is built on an aluminium frame covered with an acrylic canvas that has a lifespan of 8 to 10 years. The canvas will need to be cleaned and treated for waterproofing after 5 years.

 

The Brasilia should not be used when winds are over 40 km/hr or in heavy rain. In winter, it remains installed but must be closed against the wall and protected with either an aluminium casing or a vinyl cover.
