While Multiple Awnings was founded over 20 years ago, it was only in 2002 that the current President and C.E.O., Marc Paiement (L.L.L., MBA), bought the company and spurred its amazing growth. Since Mr. Paiement took the helm in 2002, Multiple Awnings has grown nearly 400%, earning its place as the largest manufacturer of residential and commercial awnings in Canada. In addition, the Fonds de Solidarité, with net assets of some $7 billion, is one of the company's proud partners, having provided invaluable support throughout its development.

 

Over the past 5 years, the company has become a leader on both local and international markets and has developed an impressive distribution network. In fact, its subsidiary, Multiple Awnings Distribution Inc., has travelled the world to identify markets for the company's products and has developed strategic alliances with many distributors.

 

Besides opening its store in Laval, Multiple Awnings made several acquisitions in 2006, including Multiple Awnings South-West, located in Valleyfield, Gazébo Évasion and Auvents Résidence Dépôt.

 

In addition to manufacturing its own products, the company also distributes a number of complementary products. In fact, the company holds exclusive distribution rights for those products throughout Canada or all North America. Multiple Awnings is particularly proud of its association with Sunsetter, the largest manufacturer of retractable awnings in the United States, holding exclusive assembly and distribution rights for the Canadian market. Talius, Josuma, Stobag, and Select are also distributed by Multiple Awnings.
